Sangyoon Park is a licensed architect in Alexandria, Virginia working in the healthcare space. As a graduate from the WAAC (Virginia Tech satellite campus) and undergraduate from the University of Virginia, she has been practicing architecture at various firms for 8 years. She is passionate about promoting professional development and diversity both within and outside her office, Hord Coplan Macht (HCM). Over the past two years she has been actively leading different events and initiatives at VANOMA such as the 2023 Spring Social partnered with AIA NOVA, as well as the 2024 Charting Your Course workshop, and the 2025 ARE Diversity Scholarship. She is also focused on increasing licensure across the profession and is currently leading the VANOMA ARE Series which reviews exam practice questions and content areas in each of the six exams. Through all these initiatives and her current board position as At-Large-Director, she hopes to grow VANOMA membership as well as help emerging architects hone the tools they have to build successful careers.
