Project Pipeline
Chair: Sonny Joy-Hogg
Responsible for organizing and expanding youth engagement programs like summer camps and K–12 workshops that introduce students to architecture and design. The committee recruits volunteers and partners with schools and community organizations to ensure successful programming.
This committee's meeting time is every other Wednesday at noon for the first half of the year.
Fundraising
Chair: Kelly Lersch
Develops and implements strategies to raise funds that support VANOMA’s programs, events, and scholarships. This includes organizing campaigns, securing sponsorships, and coordinating donor outreach.
This committee's meeting time is TBD.


ARE Series
Chair: Sangyoon Park
Supports members on the path to licensure and career growth by coordinating ARE study sessions, mentorships, and workshops. The committee promotes professional advancement and helps increase the number of licensed architects in Virginia
The ARE Series meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each Month.
Event Planning
Chair: Philip Baxter
Plans and manages VANOMA’s in-person and virtual events, including panels, networking mixers, and community programs. The committee handles logistics, scheduling, and coordination to create meaningful and impactful experiences.
This committee's meeting is the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM


Professional Development
Chair: Erin Agdinaoay
Manages VANOMA’s digital presence and promotional efforts across social media, newsletters, and the website. The committee ensures clear, consistent messaging and highlights member accomplishments and upcoming opportunities.
This committee's meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at noon.
Communications
Chair: Candace Seda
Manages VANOMA’s digital presence and promotional efforts across social media, newsletters, and the website. The committee ensures clear, consistent messaging and highlights member accomplishments and upcoming opportunities.
This committee's meeting time is the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:00 PM


NOMAS Connections
Chair: Brian Gore
Strengthens relationships between VANOMA and student chapters across Virginia by supporting mentorship, collaboration, and professional development opportunities. The committee coordinates with local NOMAS groups to align programming, promote conference participation, and foster the next generation of designers.
This committee meets with student leadership on the last Thursday of each month during the school year.
