Kenneth Martin, AIA, NOMAC is an architect and the founding principal of the OBSIDIAN Group, since 1991. His firm, once having four offices along the eastern US, concentrates on school projects, higher education projects, religious facilities and pharmaceutical projects. He received his architecture degree from the City College of NY, attended Georgia Institute of Technology in pursuit of a Master of City Planning degree and received a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from Furman University/Nazareth College. Kenneth is a former national president of NOMA, was a state president of NCNOMA which received the national award for Most Improved Chapter and is the current president of VANOMA. He is an emeritus member of the AIA and served on the national Diversity and Inclusion Council. He is also a former Town Councilman of Holly Springs, NC and is the current VP of Nu Lambda, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. chapter in Petersburg, Virginia.
