Corey Clayborne, FAIA, NOMA, MBA currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Knowledge & Practice at the American Institute of Architects headquarters in Washington, DC. Prior to this role, Corey was Executive Vice President of AIA Virginia, where he was responsible for ensuring the success of the Advocacy, Education, Outreach, and Member Services portfolios. Corey has been recognized by the AIA at the local, state and national levels. Most recently in 2020, he was elevated by the Institute into its prestigious College of Fellows. Corey is an architect licensed to practice in Virginia, who worked in private practice for 13 years serving as a project manager for local, state, and federal clients before taking on his executive positions at AIA Virginia and AIA National.
